At Gorsefield Primary School, we have high expectations of out pupils and their uniform. Outsiders often judge the school by the appearance of its pupils in public.  Wearing a uniform encourages a feeling of security and gives a sense of belonging to a community.

To purchase school uniform, please pop into the school office. The Gorsefield school uniform is compulsory for all children. Our uniform is:

  • Navy sweatshirt with school logo.
  • White polo shirt.
  • Grey tailored trousers or skirt.
  • White or black socks, or tights, as appropriate.
  • Black shoes with lace or Velcro fastenings. NOT TRAINING SHOES
  • Optional tailored grey short trousers for summer (not sport or beach shorts)


Please also note for health and safety reasons –

No earrings – children with pierced ears are ONLY allowed to wear ear-studs

No jewellery (chains, bangles, bracelets, rings etc.) except the s.o.s. variety used

for medical reasons

No trainers, high heeled shoes, platforms

Please ensure that all clothing is marked with your child’s name.


*School jumpers and cardigans are available from the school office, costing £8.00.  We do not make a profit on this.


As part of our uniform school reserves the right to insist on appropriate hair styles and colours and to request change.


Basic Equipment for PE


Please check that all P.E. and Games kit is labelled with your child’s name.

PE – White T-shirt, navy shorts and black pumps (not trainers). Shorts should be above the

knee for health and safety reasons. It is not ideal to bring beach clothing or summer shorts.
