Enrichment forms a significant part of our Learning Without Limits Curriculum here at Gorsefield. We like to capture our children in action as they learn beyond the classroom. Enrichment provides our pupils with diverse experiences and opportunities, they may not typically encounter. The enrichment that our children experience is ambitious and designed to give pupils, particularly the most disadvantaged, the knowledge and cultural capital they need to succeed in life and address social disadvantage.  Our entire curriculum, including enrichment,  is underpinned by the principles of British Values and SMSC, (Spiritual Moral, Social & Culture) and the 3 strands of our Learning Without Limits Curriculum: Overcoming Barriers, Celebrating Individual Difference and Embracing Challenge.

Little Feathery Friends March 2026

This term, our school is thrilled to welcome a special arrival as part of our Living Eggs project! Pupils have had the incredible opportunity to watch eggs hatch into chicks, witnessing the amazing process of life firsthand. Throughout the project, students are involved in caring for the chicks, learning about their development, needs, and behaviour. This hands-on experience not only brings science to life in a fun and engaging way but also encourages responsibility, observation skills, and empathy. We celebrate every new feathered friend and enjoy seeing the excitement and curiosity it inspires across all year groups. The project is a fantastic way to combine learning with wonder, giving our pupils memories that will stay with them long after the chicks have grown.
